Your Information is Protected - Privacy Policy
At 1-Stop Paris we
value your patronage and respect your right to privacy.
Because we are committed to protecting your privacy, we
employ the highest levels of security to keep your personal
information strictly confidential.
We promise to respect your privacy
1 Stop Paris takes your privacy concerns seriously and
will not share your personal information without your
consent.
What information is collected and why:
- When making a reservation:
When you make a reservation online or by phone through
our customer support center, you will be asked for
your name, address, phone number, email address and
credit card information. This information is shared
with the hotel that you have chosen. We will only
share information with the hotel that is necessary
to process your reservation. Your credit card information
will be used by the hotel to guarantee your reservation.
- User Accounts
As an option, visitors to 1 Stop Paris can create a
user account to better manage their shopping preferences
and reservations. This enables us to store your hotel
and room preferences, an address to use when booking
and contact information to provide to the hotel when
you reserve. During the registration process, users
are asked to provide some personal information such
as their name, phone number and email address. The
information is used to help us serve you more efficiently.
Also, during the registration process you can choose
not to receive our newsletter or travel reminders
by unchecking the appropriate boxes on the form. You
can change the information contained in your account
at any time by logging into your account and updating
the items you would like changed.
- E-Postcards
1 Stop Paris provides electronic postcards cards for
you to send to a friend. We store the email address
of all recipients, the message you want to send and
the URL for locating the greeting card. We do not
sell, distribute, or license in anyway the use of
recipient email addresses. We use them solely for
the purposes of notifying recipients on your behalf
that a 1 Stop Paris ecard is waiting for them at the
designated URL. After 30 days, all information pertaining
to your postcard is deleted.
Please be aware that our site contains
links to other sites and that the privacy practices of
other sites may differ from those of 1 Stop Paris.
Correspondence with you
If you have a user account or have made a reservation
we will periodically send correspondence to your email
address including reservation confirmations, updates about
your reservations, newsletters, special offers and travel
reminders (for customers with user accounts only). For
customers with user accounts, you can choose not to receive
our newsletter or travel reminders by logging into your
account and modifying your email subscriptions.
About Cookies
Many Web sites, including 1 Stop Paris, use cookie technology
to help users navigate efficiently. The cookie is a small
text file that resides on your hard drive. From time to
time, our site will request the cookie from your browser
so that we can retrieve the stored information. This prevents
you from making the same selections over and over again.
1 Stop Paris never uses cookies to store personal information,
such as credit-card numbers, nor can the information we
store in the cookie ever be read by any Web site other
than ours.
An example of how cookies are used: When you conduct a
search for hotels in Orlando, a cookie will be set recording
the city of Orlando as the parameter of your search. When
you return to the search form to narrow or change your
search, Orlando will automatically be entered into the
city field in the search form.
Please note that with most browsers, a user can set the
preferences to show a warning each time a cookie request
is received. You can also usually set the browser not
to accept cookies at all. However, to make your experience
using 1 Stop Paris as convenient as possible, we suggest
that you allow your browser to accept cookies. If you
choose to set your browser to not accept cookies, you
will not be able to access any user account you have created
or take advantage of some of our shopping features. However,
the use of cookies is not required to make a reservation.
Confidentiality
1 Stop Paris will not disclose or sell any of your personal
information, including your name, address, shopping, or
transaction history to any third party without your permission.
Shopping at 1 Stop Paris is safe and secure
We employ security measures such as Secure Socket Layer
technology (SSL) to protect the loss, misuse and alteration
of your personal information. SSL, which is utilized by
most popular browsers, including Netscape and Microsoft
Explorer, provides the advanced encryption tools necessary
to protect information transmitted between your computer
and our server. Encryption simply means that your information
is converted into code before it is dispatched over the
Internet. Our secure server encrypts all personal information,
including your name, address, and credit card information,
so that it cannot be read as it is transmitted over the
Internet when you make a reservation. Also, if you have
a user account, you can choose to employ our secure server
when making changes to your account.
When making a reservation online, we also employ Virtual
Private Network technology (VPN) to encrypt your personal
information when sharing it with the hotel.
In addition, only authorized 1 Stop Paris employees are
permitted to have access to your information and that
access is limited by need. All 1 Stop Paris employees must
abide by our Privacy policy.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
We will inform you that our privacy policy has changed
by prominently displaying a note to this effect on our
Web site home page.
